NCLB claims to ensure that instruction will meet the needs of all students. Do you believe a single snapshot of content mastery is a reasonable way to ensure that all students learn?
In a nut shell, no. I'm like many of my students who are terrible test takers, yet show their knowledge in class discussions. The current plan also does not take in account personal issues that may affect a student's performance or if localized events might have occurred that affect the performance of the school or district.
